Nike debuts another iteration of lifestyle comfort with the all-new Nike Mind 001.
Inspired by both futuristic research and its foothold in the streetwear crowd, the new slip-on is just the latest in Nike’s mission of rethinking ergonomics.
The molded one-piece upper comes in a smooth black finish, complete with perforations and a streamlined Chrome Swoosh. The standout feature underfoot is the hyper crimson podded outsole that juxtaposes the upper while maximizing cushioning and flexibility. The multi-textured sole and minimal aesthetic mirror some of Nike’s more eccentric offerings, such as the ISPA line, and show that Nike’s design studio has no qualms with bending design rules.
The new shoes arrive in a unique “Nike Mind” box that features conceptual art paying homage to the project’s research background.
